Storm Eye Institute

The Pearsall Lab is proudly housed at Storm Eye Institute of the Medical University of South Carolina. This year, Storm Eye is celebrating its 50th anniversary, and has much to proud of.

Storm Eye has enjoyed a long history of innovative basic ophthalmology research, including cornerstone discoveries in the visual cycle, photoreceptor biochemistry, and the inflammatory basis of eye disease.

Storm Eye offers excellent clinical care in every aspect of eye disease, and collaborative efforts between top clinicians allow management of complex and serious eye conditions. Translational research is a major strength of Storm Eye, and Dr. Pearsall is presently developing a translational project and clinical training program with our top physician-scientists.
